Write and Express

Communication through writing is a very important aspect in my life. It is a tool to express one’s thought , idea , impression or abstraction. One cannot fully comprehend the other without a medium of communication and it is significant that writng is one of them aside the verbal way of communication.
I am now wondering if i am doing the right thing in my expression of ideas. Whether i am right or wrong i have to do it simply because i love to write.

It is my dream to fully write exactly the ideas i have in my mind and express it the way i like it to be . I remember the first time that my teacher taught me how to write and essay in my writing composition class. It was about what i did during my summer vacation. It was very hard for me to write basically because i was just at home during my summer vacation at that time with nothing more exciting to write. Consequently, i did not submit to my teacher during my class the composition which she assigned to us. That was the first challenge i met after my long vacation at home and i was disappointed that i was not able to write it. I asked help from my friend and he write down for me. I was making foul of myself submitting such composition to my teacher. But my teacher noticed the way i write it and she decline to accept the composition i made. Then on I tried very hard to accomplish something through writing my ideas. It was so fulfilling that little by little i learn to write and express what i have in mind whether i am right or wrong.

I really like the written word

I really like the written word because it’s probably the best connection to someone’s exact ideas, experiences, and emotions. That’s why I love reading, and I would like to be able to write as well as the things I read.

My writing honestly was at it’s best around the ages of 15-17 when I was more confident. I just want to get into writing again like how I was at that age where I didn’t judge myself so much about it.

Nothing will stop me

If I could travel, take pictures, document my life and what I see, and let my imagination be discovered everywhere, I would be happy. Of course everyone is pushing me about school and how I will not make a living without proper education, but I try to blockout everything they say. I do well in school yes, but that is not my main priority. I concentrate on writing more than anything else. It’s what frees me from my frustration and allows me to express myself without being judge. I don’t have to show my writing to anyone, not even tell them about it, just as long as I myself know what I am doing right. I don’t care how long it takes, how much money I make, if I become famous or not, if people love what I write or are completely against it, I will make it. Nothing will stop me. I want to write continuously for hours on end.

do you work on more than one writing project at a time?

I do work on more than one project at a time, although it goes against my grain. I am the perfectionist, do one thing at a time sort of person. With writing, you just have to adapt. I have an expandable plastic folder with dividers that I use to store notes and other material. I also have a bigger canvas bag with potential information that might be helpful someday. Finally, I use the computer folders to keep things organized. With all this, I don't feel very organized at all. Somehow it works.

I'd love to hear how you do it.

Good luck with your writing!

Reading is a huge part of writing

Reading is a huge part of writing. If you don't read you miss out on the number one best school for writing. So many times, I've read something and thought "Man, that's a good idea."

But you pose an interesting question. (I know you didn't mean to.) happy Is reading online the same thing as reading a hard copy? On the surface it's all reading, right? The words are there, one you hold in your hands and turn pages, the other you click. Shouldn't be any different. But, I wonder. Reading online is a much different experience from reading a book. For one thing, it's harder on the eyes and body. For another, I wonder if the information overload of websites detracts from the reading experience. I'm not really espousing an opinion.

Every writer has their own kind of writing style

They are all unique in their own way. It is the combination of all the things that makes a writer what they are. It is their technique, how they put their words together to form their story. The content, what their story is about. The way they choose to tell the story. Whether they choose to make it humorous, serious, mysterious or sad it
can be up to the individual to decide which way they want to tell it. And then when it is finished it is up to the person who is reading it to decide how they interpret it. There are so many different things that go into being a writer. That is why we have so many and so many different types of books and writings and each one can be just as great in their own way.
